Our mission is to make world class Physical Therapy available to women in the United States and across the globe.

We provide rehabilitation for pelvic floor issues and female pain that are otherwise ignored, misunderstood, and even stigmatized.  Pain and incontinence in women of all ages is common, but it is not normal or acceptable.

What does a Women´s Health/Pelvic Floor physical therapist do?

Physical therapists can help when a person’s joints and muscles are interfering with the ability to move to the bathroom in time and causing incontinence.  Treatment is geared toward improving joint motion, muscle strength, walking speed and safety

We work with you through behavior modification, education, and prescription exercises to effectively solve your pain and symptoms.

No need to undergo unnecessary surgery or take medications, Physical Therapy is the natural, cost effective solution.

In Europe women receive compulsory Pelvic Floor Therapy after childbirth, or later in life when faced with incontinence. Women in the US are referred to the Pelvic Floor Therapists whenever there is a problem.  Now women globally can have the same care.

Pelvic Health Physical Therapists (or Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists) are trained to evaluate and treat possible causes of pelvic and abdominal pain including joint dysfunction, scar tissue, nerve irritation, and muscle tightness, weakness or imbalance.  All care is individualized holistic in nature.  Treatment may include hands on techniques to address muscle tightness or tender points, targeted exercises to improve muscle strength, coordination and flexibility, scar tissue mobilization, and education in ways to reduce stress and pain.  Treatment strategies may include biofeedback, posture training, and breathing techniques and relaxation to reduce pelvic pain, improve function, and enhance quality of life.

How can physical therapy help?

Pelvic Floor/ Women's Health Therapists are extensively trained to evaluate and treat joint dysfunction, muscle tightness, weakness or imbalance in muscle groups, and nerve entrapment- all potential causes of pelvic pain.  Other treatment strategies may include exercises, biofeedback, retraining of uncoordinated muscles, postural training, and strengthening of the abdominal core muscles.  Bladder issues will be addressed through behavior modifications, desensitization techniques, and urinary logs. You should expect a plan of care specific to your needs and symptoms.
